of Tangerine Dream’s “Madcap’s Flaming Duty” DVD including
the full score on a separate CD. This DVD was recorded in January 2007 in Vienna.
TD’s performance of all 13 new songs - including a bonus song -, shows the
Band in a very cool and relaxed atmosphere. Additionally you’ll see some
‘making of images’ as well as a 6 minutes Intro. It is probably the
most intimate and private session the Band has done so far. Sit back and relax

In November 2006 TD got the offer from a Japanese Business Manager, who turned
82 last year, to compose and record the so-called 'Five Atomic Seasons'. As it
was clear that this was a real serious assignment, TD were told that the person
who ordered the composition did study during his youth in the two cities which
had been destroyed by atomic bombardments back in 1945, Nagasaki and Hiroshima.
The five compositions had to be in length 54 minutes each. Part one and two,
- Spring and Summer 1945 - the client spent living in Nagasaki, while he lived
in Hiroshima in Autumn and Winter of 1945, where he survived one of the most lunatic
and barbarian war crimes ever done by mankind.
Spring and Summer will describe the normal atmosphere in a Japanese city with
some of the rising premonitions of what will happen on August 9th 1945. Autumn
and Winter in Hiroshima will musically mirror what happened after August 6th 1945.
The Fifth Season supposes to be the ´time after´, the so-called
'endless season'.
Here you´ll have part one 'Springtime in Nagasaki', part two 'Summer
in Nagasaki' will be released on July 1st this year.

After Inferno and Purgatorio - now the Dante trilogy of La Divina Commedia is
completed. Almost a year ago the world premiere of Dante Alighieri's PARADISO
took place at the Brandenburg Theatre, a life performance together with the Brandenburg
Symphonic Orchestra. Produced and composed by Edgar Froese and also performed
by Thorsten Quaeschning, Iris Camaa, Linda Spa and six singers.
You will hear a mix of artificial and natural instruments. The whole process of
voice balancing, EQ adjustments and various other post production treatment has
taken months to get through with. You finally will have a true musical experience.
It's up to you to follow a timeless spiritual path within a day to day life. |

the material of this album was composed during tangerine dream's north american
tour back in august/september 1988. weeks after weeks in tourbusses, planes, hotels
and various locations gave the two guys here the opportunity to get musically
into something different off stage. the plan was to release the stuff as an on
and off the road album later in the year. the road feeling as well as the summertime
in the states had been a strong influence for these compositions. the album was
completed while hanging out after the tour at a friend's place in LA. because
of various reasons the album had a delay for over about seventeen years before
it now will be presented to the public. |

The Divina consists of three parts: Inferno, Purgatorio & Paradiso. When Italian
writer Dante Alighieri created this body of work at the beginning of the 14th
Century, he relocated its setting behind a veil or curtain. This veil is our darkened,
“normal” consciousness that concerns itself solely with the material
manifestations of this world. This consciousness does not possess a real spiritual
aspect in the absolutely pure sense of the word. According to Dante, mankind,
living in today’s state of consciousness – when compared to the purely
spiritual – finds itself in a state of deep slumber. However, mankind is
not aware of this fact. Although conceived more than 600 years ago, the spiritual
heritage of The Divine Comedy is continuously aimed at the present – at the
human being living in the here and now. On this DVD you will experience the concert
performance of Tangerine Dream within a very special setting. An old castle near
Cologne in Germany is forming the backdrop of this first part of Dante's trilogy.
Together with this musical performance, you will see quite a few off stage images
shot during the rehearsals and the set up on various locations including interviews
of some of the participants. |

When the album PHAEDRA hit the album charts worldwide back in 1974, no one had
foreseen such a remarkable career of a new musical sound created by tangerine
dream. All instruments were new and unknown to the audience. The sound itself
was the opposite of all common music at those days. During the concerts the band
created an uncomparable atmosphere. Now, more than 30 years later you can listen
to the modern form of this classic recording. The material has been re-recorded
by using partly the same kind of instruments as on the original recording. Also
the new digital technology has played a keyrole during various recording sessions.
It was not the intension to please all the tdpurists and analogue fans –
but you will have an idea of how the band is still connected to the style and
trademark that has made them so original. The additional title ´delfi´
has been composed 2005 in the spirit of the seventies. |
